ACL awarded a total of $985,000 for the first year of six new two-year cooperative agreements addressing elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation in tribal communities. The awardees will focus on identifying community needs; facilitating multidisciplinary activities advancing elder justice; and preventing and responding to abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

The Strategy includes five overarching goals, nearly 350 actions the federal government will take to support family caregivers in the coming year, and more than 150 actions that can be adopted at other levels of government and across the private sector to build a system to support family caregivers. While the goals and actions contained within the Strategy are not dementia specific, they can be applied to dementia caregiving. This webinar will focus on the ways in which the goals can apply specifically to caregivers of people living with dementia and services designed to support such caregivers.
